Brian Dennehy (Clarence Darrow)
Brian Dennehy has maintained a strong presence in film, theatre, and television for three decades. He has twice won the Tony Award for Best Actor, honored for playing James Tyrone in Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey Into Night, and for playing Willy Loman in Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman. The latter production was also filmed for Showtime and subsequently earned Dennehy a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and an Emmy Award nomination. He revived the role of Willy Loman in London's West End in 2005 for which he received the coveted Olivier Award for Best Actor. He recently played Matthew Harrison Brady (the character patterned after William Jennings Bryan) in the Broadway production of Inherit the Wind.
Dennehy is well-known to audiences worldwide for his performances in such popular films as Semi-Tough, Foul Play, 10, First Blood, Cocoon, F/X, Presumed Innocent, Tommy Boy, and Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet. His other notable screen credits include Gorky Park, Never Cry Wolf, Spike Lee's She Hate Me, 10th & Wolf, and Righteous Kill. He also voiced the role of Remy's father, Django, in the animated hit film Ratatouille. He has completed work on the upcoming feature Every Day with Liev Schreiber and Helen Hunt, and he will be starring in Paul Haggis' The Next Three Days. Dennehy is currently writing the independent feature Redemption.
Dennehy has starred in a wide range of television projects, receiving Emmy Award nominations for his performances in the miniseries The Burden of Proof, Murder in the Heartland, To Catch a Killer(in which he played John Wayne Gacy), and Stephen Gyllenhaal's telefilm Killing in a Small Town. He recently received an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor in Showtime's Our Fathers.
Nathan West (Charles Anderson)
Nathan West is best known for his movie roles Bring it On (2000) and Miracle (2004), both movies which featured Nathan's real-life athleticism (Nathan was a semi-professional hockey player before going into acting). Nathan has also appeared in several television shows and his wife, Chyler Leigh, is a star of Grey's Anatomy. Nathan is a musician (guitar) and the father of three young children with Chyler.
Colm Meaney (H.L. Mencken)
Born in Dublin, Ireland, Colm Meaney is perhaps best known for his role as Chief Operating Officer Miles O'Brien on the television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Meaney left school in Dublin at the age of 17 to apprentice as a fisherman but his love of acting led him to enroll in drama classes at The Abbey, Dublin's National Theater. He first came to the United States in 1982 to work in New York and later made his Broadway debut in Breaking The Code opposite Derek Jacobi. He then moved to Los Angeles in 1987.
His feature film debut was in John Huston's The Dead, but it was his performance in director Alan Parker's The Commitments (the first of a trilogy) that gained him wider recognition with North American audiences. He also starred in the trilogy's other two films: The Snapper (for which he received a Best Actor Golden Globe nomination), and The Van, both directed by Steven Frears. He starred in two other Parker films as well, Come See The Paradise and The Road To Wellville.
Meaney has successfully bridged the gap from starring in large studio films such as Con Air, Mystery, Alaska, Under Siege, and Far and Away, to highly acclaimed independent films such as Layer Cake, Intermission, This Is My Father, The Englishman That Went Up A Hill But Came Down A Mountain, Into The West, and Monument Avenue. Meaney won Best Actor at the Newport Beach Film Festival for the indie film How Harry Became A Tree, a film for which he was nominated for Best Actor at the Irish Film Awards.
Meaney's most recent film projects include Law Abiding Citizen in which he stars with Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx, Get Him To The Greek, in which he stars with Russell Brand and Jonah Hill, and The Damned United, in which he portrays famed English football coach Don Revie starring opposite Michael Sheen. Other recent films include Kings which was Ireland's 2008 official Academy Award entry and for which Meaney was nominated as Best Actor at the Irish Film Awards.
Colm resides in Mallorca, Spain and Los Angeles.
Sen. Fred Thompson (William Jennings Bryan)
One of the most respected and visible figures speaking out on the important challenges facing America today, Fred Thompson's dedication to law and his passion for the founding principles that are America's bedrock led him to serve for eight years as a Senator from Tennessee and motivated his recent presidential bid.
The winner of two landslide elections to the United States Senate, Thompson focused on lowering taxes, strengthening national security, and cutting wasteful government spending. In 2002, he walked away from an easy reelection victory to seek new challenges.
Senator Thompson first appeared on screen in the film Marie in 1985, and subsequently appeared in numerous movies including No Way Out, In the Line of Fire, Die Hard II, Days of Thunder, and The Hunt for Red October. He has also appeared in the television series China Beach, Wiseguy, Matlock, and most notably Law & Order in which he portrayed New York District Attorney Arthur Branch.
The Lawrenceburg, Tennessee native attended Memphis State University where he earned an undergraduate degree in philosophy and political science, and received his law degree from Vanderbilt University.
Ashley Johnson (Rose Williams)
Ashley Johnson most recently starred in Fast Food Nation, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Richard Linklater. She was part of a sterling ensemble cast that included Greg Kinnear, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Ethan Hawke, Wilmer Valderrama and Bobby Canavale. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. Also last year Ashley starred opposite Gregory Smith and Jordana Brewster in the coming-of-age feature Nearing Grace which premiered at the L.A. Film Festival. She also starred in What Women Want opposite Mel Gibson, Nine Months, Lionheart, and Anywhere but Here.
No stranger to the small screen, Ashley is perhaps best known from her role as the youngest child, Chrissy Seaver, on the hit television series Growing Pains. She has gone on to guest star on many TV shows, most recently CSI and Heartland among others including, ER, Rosewell, Providence, Ally McBeal, Touched by an Angel, and The Guardian.
Ashley is classically trained in piano and also plays guitar, drums, harmonica, and violin. One of her many hobbies is photography, and she takes her camera with her wherever she goes.
Ashley currently resides in Los Angeles.
Khori Faison (Abigail Williams)
Khori Faison began acting at the age of three after watching Cinderella produced by Whitney Houston. At the age of four her powerful vocal ability was realized and she was enrolled in her first musical theatre acting class. At the age of eight Khori was discovered by renowned casting director and choreographer Janet Louer. Under her tutelage Khori's abilities flourished.
At age nine, Khori was cast in her first film, a starring role in director Reaves A. Washburn's intense independent contemporary drama My First Tooth which has gone on to screen at numerous festivals across the country including the prestigious Playhouse West Film Festival. Next Khori won a supporting role in director Francine Michelle's romantic drama Desertion starring Kim Rhodes and Brian Krause.
Khori has also appeared in two children's films, the comedy Peer Pressure directed by Eric Stolze that premiered at the Chicago International Children's Film Festival in October 2009, and the drama Monster Love directed by Justin Nijm.
